For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.you could try an application called DVD Shrink. many download sites have it and it is a good way of re-authoring a DVD i.e. removing the Danish subtitles for example and gets around many DRM restrictions. However as mentioned you should not make a copy of any copyrighted DVD without authorisation unless for your own personal use.
You need a copying program such as DVD Shrink

Read the instructions but it is quite easy.
and then a burning programme such as Nero to get it onto a blank DVD

Ethel is right, you should not circumvent copyright. Buy the new DVD off ebay instead, and pay the cash. That dvd will probably be a copy, but at least you're helping the economy.
If you wanted to copy your own homemade dvd or a program off telly to watch later, probably a good place to start would be dvd fab.

-poster seems to be saying something which is patently stupid or dangerous or illogical
-consider whether poster *assumes* that this will be seen as such by most people
-if so, consider that poster is using this register as a means of expressing the *irony* that the main method of avoiding copyright circumvention (viz buying off ebay) is in fact itself going to reward copyright circumvention.
-Consider that this also seeks to highlight the great number of copyright dvds on ebay.
-consider that if you miss these points at first glance, don't try saying 'what planet are you on', but ask 'have I missed something' or 'is she joking'?
Clear?

I understand what you are all saying, but as I said I have no wish to rip anybody off I simply want a copy of a DVD for what will be personal use (for a mate) ... But I do have to ask that if its illegal to copy protected discs why can companys openly sell programs that are made purely to get around anti-copying ?
