Of course you can get endorsements Drewhound. Stop posting rubbish and guessing answers.
One example I'll give you is: Two friends of mine got penalty points on their licences when they were 14yrs old - too young even for a licence. The points were put on when they applied for a licence after they left school.
Thank you for that Allan, it may be the law has changed, section 24 of the RTA 1988 states it is a fixed penalty non-endorsable offence (BTW it's presently 30)
Can I suggest you follow your own advice, don't talk rubbish and don't guess, above all if you are going to get it wrong, as you have, be civil when you do it, the egg won't stick as much
The ironic thing is though.. someone can lose their drivers license for drinking and driving (or something else) then legally ride a pedal cycle. I've not heards of anyone banned from riding a pedal cycle.
Ok, Ok, I don't want to ride through a red light and I haven't even got a bike, not with all these mountains around here. It was just something that I've been curious about. Thanks for your answers.
It is an offence to go through a red light on a bike, just like it is dashing across a red pedestrian crossing. You would have to be spotted by the police doing it as you do not have a number plate for a camera to catch you.
You may get a on the spot fine of around 30, but usually it is just a telling off.
