Can anyone please give me a step by step process of how to adjust the front disc brake on my sons mountain bike? It has started rubbing on the pads and as a result the front wheel has become quite tough to turn. Any help greatly welcome

Thanks

There are different types of disc brake operating mechanism, such as hydraulic or cable. You'll have say what kind your son's bike has.

The bike has cable disc brakes ? Thanks
as long as the disc is aligned centrally between the brake pistons and stays central as you revolve the wheel. your easiest adjustment would be with the barrel adjusters where the cable exits the brake lever. sorry i dont know much about cable discs, but certain models ive seen have dial adjusters at the back of each piston. (a plastic dial? possibly red?) as long as the wheel is sitting right in the fork dropouts, and the disc isnt warped. turn the dial adjusters anticlockwise and the until the wheel turns freely.
If you want expert instruction I find these DVDs on the market very good.
