Getting Rid of Spam on AOL.
3 Answers
I still get a little spam coming through on one of my AOL screen names, usually about my 'online bank account' which I don't even have, so I forward this to AOL sites: cosfiles, cosmail1 and cosmail2. However! The spam keeps coming, does AOL actually do anything about it, and are there any other email addresses I can send spam to, to get rid of it forever ?? AOL are absolutely useless, not even worth contacting them. They just send me a standard email which means nothing.

AOL may block the address that the mail is coming from but if you where to check the emails I'd be willing to bet that no two come from the same address.
What spammers do is as they have a list of say 1million email addresses to send spam mail to this will also mean they have 1 million adresses they can make it look like the email has come from and they change the from address each time they send a batch out (or they just use totally fake addresses in the from field)
AOL already have one of the strictest spam filters around (too strict at times a lot would say) so affraid you will probably have to putup with the few that do make it through.
