who is phoning me?

A telephone number 02085636666 has been recorded on my phone several times when I haven't been here. When I call back - it is dead. Any ideas who they are?

it could be a fax tring to contact another fax - I had that a few years ago and it drove me nuts - you can't call them because the line is to a fax.

Yup, It's a machine, get onto your Telephone line provider they helped us when we kept getting woken up at 4 in the morning

Nearly every day I get a call on my mobile [phone] or 01412706400.On my landline I get 02920822637, 02086684420 and 02076858583.
I never answer them but I would like to know who it is really.
How can you google it mrrobbo?

Always google for strange numbers that call you - and if you find it is a cold caller, save that number as 'bogus' or 'cold caller' or something else to make you automatically ignore it in future

Thanks for that Ethel, I didn't realise you could look up numbers like this.Fortunately I have caller display so although I am now tempted to answer and give them what for, I think I will just carry on ignoring them.

I'm ex directory, but still these stupid callers manage to get through sometimes. Mostly, they're ignored, but just occasionally I pick up the phone and give them an ear-bashing. It's not often the same number calls back!
