Ebay new item reminders

Is there any way to set up an ebay account so that if someone lists something that you are looking for get a notification of it?

I've tried looking at their help but could take ages and not sure what they call it.

yep, you can do a search for a particular item and save the search and ebay send you an email every time it comes up for sale

Go to 'My Ebay' and look down the left-hand table. Click on 'Want It Now'.

I agree with In a Pickle - I once put an item in Want it Now, and got all sorts of emails saying they had one [a rare-ish book] which i didn't reply to. Best do a saved search.
