Are you suppossed to cut-up tea bags?, or do they go in whole?.

Tea bags were invented by a traveling salesman as a means to measure out samples of his tea. The people he gave these samples to mistook them for a new way of brewing the tea and just poured hot water on them! this caught on as you didnt have to strain the tea before serving.
Modern tea bags are not supposed to be cut up but the truth of the invention often suprises people.
I once heard of someone putting teabags (in ignorance) into an electric kettle instead of into the teapot!
We shouldn't criticise Crolios for posting this question; we don't know who he or she is, how old he or she is and why he or she asked the question. This might be a young person showing some initiative in coming to Answerbank. Calling him or her silly will not encourage further use of this site.
