found a pc in the trash, has windows xp pro. on it , 1GB mem. All is good except cant get past administrator hold. Cant even FDISK THE HARD DRIVE. Any Ideas world be greatly appriciated. Bullydaug.

BIOS password?

If so, remove the motherboard's battery for a new minutes.

If not BIOS, use a recovery disk if you have one from another XP install, or something like the Knoppix live CD (which comes with partitioning tools and everything else).

As fo3nix said above but in addition just in case the battery is soldered onto the mother board there may be small black jumper that covers 2 little pins on the main board that can be removed to reset the bios password

boot it from a floppy disc and format then reboot and use a cd to install the system again 45 mins top
