How to connect digital tv to dvd hdd recorder

I have a Sony Bravia digital tv and a Philips HDD DVD Player recorder and use a set top aerial.

I have connected the 2 together as instructed however i cannot pick up the digital signal through the HDD DVD - what do i do?!

What model Bravia, and what channels are you hoping to record?

My guess is your HDD recorder is analogue, not digital, so it won't pick up the channels through its own tuner.

If you want to record a digital station you will have to set it to record manually, using EXT1 (or EXT 2 depending on your set up) as the channel, and have your tv turned on and tuned to the freeview channel you wish to record.
