My son has an Ipod that despite being fully charged will not turn on, was listening to it and switched it off then went back 10 mins later and nothing. Any ideas would be appreciated as he is a bit miffed!!

Has it accidentally been locked by sliding the little button along the top edge showing orange?
1) Make sure the keylock hasn't been turned on by accident.
2) Really do make sure it has a full charge.
3) Try rebooting it by holding down the middle white button and the menu button at the same time.
4) See how the pod responds by plugging it in to the computer and turning iTunes on.
5) If it does respond to iTunes but not when unplugged and trying to listen to it then restore the factory settings and format it. That will wipe the memory and clean it and should fix any internal errors.
6) Failing these then it may have been dropped with such force that the battery is no longer connected internally.
