how accurate is DNA info? I mean in terms of proving someone guilty of a crime, or proving if your the father of a child. its always on that stupid jeremy kyle show - but im sure i remember hearing/reading something saying that DNA evidence is generally not accepted in court. is that true as well? if so...then why bother with a DNA national database...?

It is also worth pointing out that the presence of DNA does not prove guilt only that the DNA is present. DNA is merely contibutory evidence it proves nothing by itself.
