sound out of time

i am trying to copy vhs tape through my computer useing pctv vision tv card everything is set up and working.i press play on the video player then press record on the pctv on screen tv, alls good it records great but when i play it back on the pctv vison screen before i burn it to a dvd the sound is out of time with the picture.
i am useing a scart plug with stereo lead red pin white pin from back of video to sound in, on the back of computer and a yellow lead from scart plug to tv card, anybody know what im doing wrong.lenny
