Car radio fault

Here's a puzzle. My car radio works well, except that there is a loose connection somewhere that causes all sound to be lost when I go over a bump and then come on again as I go over another bump.
The radio itself works throughout� all lights flashing, buttons doing the right things and CD player performing normally- all indicating that, to my mind, it is the speakers that are being cut off. But how can that be?
As far as I can see the four speakers are independently fed from a 8-pin plug and socket on the back of the radio � two wires per speaker. So how can all speakers go off at once? What is there in the car's wiring that could cause this?

Hi you have a bad earth wire If pos take out the radio & check the connections at the rear.

Thanks, knobbs. I thought I'd made it clear that the next bump I drive over does that anyway.

TWR, why should a bad earth connection affect only the speakers and not the whole radio? Not a challenge, a genuine question.

Chances are that your 8 pin plug(for the speaker loom )chafes the inside of the dash .try tapping this plug firmly against the back of the radio or reposition the radio slightly out wards if your surrounding trim allows.
I suppose you can cushion the bottom of the radio to reduce the back movement .DO NOT BLOCK THE RADIO VENTILATION HOLES !!!
