new computer

I am thinking of buying a new computer, have a 15 inch laptop at the moment, but would really like to have a separate computer as well. I mainly use my computer for playing online bridge and itunes, apart from the normal surfing etc. I have two options here. Buy a screen and attach it to my Sony VIO laptop or buy a separate computer. The latter appeals really and I was wondering whether anyone could recommend a make. HP or Apple, separate processor or all in one. With these new all-in-one systems it worries me because if the screen goes wrong, the whole computer is not working. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks. Riptide

have a look at a low budget dell or mesh machine. I'd go for a small form factor machine as you won't be pushing it. Make sure you way up any warrenty against the cost of the machine. I'd go for a year though.
