Hanging Pictures??
4 Answers
Hey there,
Im moving into a rented house on Monday and the contract states we are not allowed to screw anything or nail anything into the walls. But i really want to hang some pictures! Does anyone have any ideas of how I can hang pictures without nailing or screwing into the wall?
There is a sort of rail around the tops of the rooms (almost like a daedo rail but higher). Can you get something that hooks onto that and then attatches to the frames with wires or somthing?? Where would i get that sort of thing from?
any ideas would be fab!

The other alternative is No More Nails removable strips, they are really good and one strip can hold up to 2kg. They are easy to remove, all the instructions are on the pack.
If these are available in the U.K., I can vouch that they are one of the few things that perform as advertised today. I've used them to hand heavy mirrors as well as pictures here in the U.S. When you need to move, the device comes easily out of the drywall leaving only a pinhole...

Interesting - I've never seen those in the UK. They are only going to work if there is a void behind plasterboard (or drywall as the Americans say). I may be wrong but the presence of a picture rail suggests an older property with a solid wall, in which case you will have to resort to the old technology.
