What is wrong with my tumble dryer?

I have a Hotpoint VTD00P vented tumble dryer, which i have positioned in a cupboard. I have been using it for a few weeks now and water has started to leak through the door. Also, the cupboard is now warped and amp has started to appear. Any ideas? Am i doing something wrong?

Id suggest buying a condensor box to connect the hiose from the tumble dryer to if you dont have it vented outside .

Yes, the dryer is vented at the back. Could it be something to do with the vents at the bottom? If it is vented at the back, why would the door be leaking? and why is the cupboard damp, still?

tumble dryers are supposed to be ventilated, look in the instructions and im sure it would state that you have to leave a certain amount of space around the machine. is it a ventilated cupboard? like a louvre door? i really think you should refer to the instructions

As stated, the air has to come from somewhere - it comes into the machine from underneath. This area needs to be kept open to allow air in.

Next, it has to leave. The pipe that the hot air comes out of also contains all of the water vapour. That needs to leave your house through a vent through an outside wall or if necessary through a window - ie the hose needs to end outside the building.

If your dryer hasn't got the hose attached, or if the hose ends inside the cupboard -which is what i think you're saying - you will get damp and the wood will warp from continuous hot wet air being pumped into it, and the 'leak' you're seeing is extreme condensation.
