Phone home?

The home phone rang showing my home number as the caller. I didn't answer it!

How does that happen?

if you have bt message service and you were on the phone and someone left you a message your number will show when bt, or whoever youre with, is ringing to let you know you have a message, hope you understand that

this happened to me once just after i had opened a new account with BT it turned out the computer that generates numbers for new accounts had given the same number to 2 new customers and we kept ringing each other freaking each other out
