Sky going into "Stand-by"

Has anyone else got this problem, suddenly there appears an on-screen message saying "Your Sky box will be going into stand-b - press backup" My friend (who only has freeview) also has this massage. What's happening?

My skybox used to turns its self off everynight. There is a way of changing it in the settings.
