IPOD problems deleting music
2 Answers
How do you delete music from an IPOD (please don't give me the instruction regarding delete from 'delete' on your key pad and from the edit at the top of the page as it's not highlighted and they just came back), been trying to sync it for ages (i have absolutly no probs with a normal MP3 player but this IPOD is a night mare, my daughter added everything by mistake. not just from her profile on the laptop but ours too. I have tried to follow the instructions on Apple but the instructions are telling me to click on things that do not exist. I have also tried to google instructions and so far not found one that helps. Please if you know where/how let me know as i need to sort this out by xmas day as i have bought the stereo to play the ipod and can't get it to work.
Thanks

Go to your Itunes library and connect your ipod . Select devices on you library menu and your ipod options will be shown. Tick " Open Itunes when this ipod is connected "
Tick " Enable disk use "
Un tick the other two boxes.
Every time you now connect your ipod to your itunes library
every thing in the library will sync to your ipod.
The next step is to remove items from your library that you
don't wish to have on your ipod. Highlight each track or series of tracks, right click and remove to the recycle bin.
Not sure how you would do this in retrospect but I have all my music on file in " My music " so anything that's removed
from my ipod is kept on my computor. Good luck

Further to my previous posting. Note also that when you connect to " Devices " you have the option of " Restore "
not only will this restore to factory settings but also will
remove all items from your ipod. If you then keep in your itunes library only items you wish to sync to your Ipod any items not required will be erased. Good luck
