printers won't work with new laptop
3 Answers
I've recently changed from a dell desktop pc with windows xp to an acer laptop with windows vista. I've found that both my dell A920 printer, and my hp photosmart 420 series printer are not compatible with the laptop.
Can anyone offer any advice re this problem ?
Any help gratefully accepted.

Stevee & Chuck, Thankyou for your replies.
Stevee, yes, I have inserted the relevant disc for each printer.
Chuck, I was informed - maybe incorrectly, that the problem could be that the printer discs are compatible with windows xp - which is what they used to work on,but not compatible with windows vista.
However, now that you have provided me with more information, I'm sure I should be able to resolve the problem.
Sorry if I didn't make things too clear -- not very clued up with computers.
Thanks again.
