Gasman... CORGI registration
4 Answers
Hi Gasman,
Got CORGI inspector coming out on (would you believe it) christmas eve to get my CORGI card. Any tips on what to swat up on apart from how to make a good cup of tea and some nice biscuits.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Ken

just take your time, keep a clear head and think about anything he asks you before you answer or perfom a task.
he's probably going to ask you to do a tightness test on the meter so make sure you zero your guage, make sure you fill to exactly 10 and 20 mbs for the let-by and actual test, make sure you've gt a stop watch with you. dont forget to bubble the joints on the meter and the test nipple after the tightness test. also, before the test rem to make sure there are no appliances running, that any cooker lids are up, and re-light any appliances that need it. and while your doing the test look around to see if the meter is cross-bonded and if any pipework is sleeved where it passes through a wall.
