ipod problem

When downloading tracks from my itunes library into my nano ipod, was then unable to disengage the usb from the ipod, its stuck fast. The usb into the ipod has a horizontal line,as you look at the screen.

The only thing I can think of is that their is a locking mechanism in the ipod, which if it is not disabled correctly locks on. Any ideas for a solution.

try pressing the menu button for about 10-15 secs and the ipod resets and it should be fine i had the same problem myself a couple of months ago good luck

I am very appreciative of the prompt responses, I received from the two subscribers to AnswerBank. I took the first suggestion and squeezed and pulled the USB, and presto it came free! It was good to have a backup suggestion as well. Many Thanks. I have only just got it and was anxious to avoid permanently damaging it. Cheers.
