Digital Camera Movie Help

At our company function, someone took some video footage on their kodak digital camera, when you view the movie in Quicktime on a pc the movie is playing on its side i.e. you have to turn your head to watch it. Is there anyway of changing the view so it is viewable at the correct angle? I hope this makes sense.

Yes - re-enact the whole company function and hold the camera at an angle. Either that or use some video editing software to rotate it 90 degrees.
