dog eaten 3 cream eggs!!!

my sister just told me her dogs somehow managed too steal the 3 cadburys cream eggs shes bought and eaten everyone
hes been sick twice and has got the runs
ive told her to take all his biscuits and food away for 24 hours and give him loadssss of water,,,

has anyone else ever had this problem and what did u do!!
hes half jack russell and half chiwawa??

Not creme eggs-lol....but i did have a dog when I was little that ate a whole box of crayons......we saw them for days!

Chocolate is poison to dogs and he's only little . Yes starve him and offer plenty of water but if he is not better pretty soon then take him to the vet asap as he can become dehydrated .
Chocolate contains theobromine which is toxic to them .

roy (my sisters dog) is ok,,,
i think he probably has a bit of belly ache and who wouldnt but he is still rolling on the floor
been for a long walk so it probably will jst be coming out of his system i guess

If this was my dog I would not wait till tomorrow, especially as he is so small. I would rather be safe than sorry.

I agree with you there Lankeela, a friend of a friends dog died (a Yorkie) because the owners didn't take her to the vet when she had eaten the chocolate (it wasn't much), she didn't really have any bad symptons until 12 hours later when she started fitting so they rushed her to the vet but she died on the vet's table. The vet said if they had brought her in straight away they could have saved her, he also mentioned that symptoms sometimes don't appear until 24 hours later but by then it's too late, ALWAYS ring a vet if your dog has eaten any chocolate, better to be safe than sorry!

Good news that he is ok, its nice to get feedback.

Tell your sister , next time, to scoff the cream eggs quickly herself to stop the pouch getting his nashers around them. With 3 eggs I wouln't be surprised if she felt a bit sick herself lol
