Evening, Did anyone watch come dine with me tonight from Preston? Valerie was the host. I wondered if anyone had noticed her slighlty odd accent? And also that her necklace was held up by a piece of sellotape? Anyone?!
Yeh really bizarre accent! I couldnt work out if the sellotape was holiding up her microphone or not!
I know, loving this week - looks like its going to be a good one tmrw night!
I did Ethel.
I was torn between the fact that she might be recovering from a stroke,or(and I came down on this side) that her bottom teeth looked to large(long) for her mouth, which resulted in her talking in such a strange way.
I think she talks in an affected way anyway, and the teeth don't help.
Bernard gets more and more rude and pompous.
It looks as if the Ladies boycott him tomorrow, well we live in hopes! LOL
I would love to have sent her Specsavers! Those specs sitting sitting on her nose were most annoying and as for her teeth! perfect candidate for "Unibond" What about the Jodie Marsh "lookalike" can't wait to see what she dishes up!
Had to catch this one after your reccommendations, that was circa seventies type menu, how they didnt know what mornay was,and she made her sauce with cornflour, and she paid for those shells doh!!,you were right about the accent defo lloyd grossman lol!!!
I don't know if anyone recalls the accents in Kath and Kim when they play the part of upper crust shop assistants, but that's who I thought Val was trying to impersonate.
I thought she had had one too many facelifts and her head was being pulled backwards as they had stitched the back of her neck to her bum to hold it in place.
He made the 'model' sick by talking about eating live scorpions, and when she returned to the table she said she liked eating the pheasant skin - Bernard said it was exactly like eating snake. The model girl said he was being horrible, and he let rip.
Later, she was talking about her wedding, he started yawning loudly - she asked was she boring him, and he let rip again, had a tantrum and stopped out in the garden.
He was really quite aggressive
I felt sorry for the young man - he must have thought he was in a scene from the leage of gentlemen. The other chap looked like a chuckle brother, the strange woman being sick, plastic pam with her seashells and Bernard the pubescent irritant. Can't wait for tonight!!!!
I agree with Lankeela about the face lift, I thought the same, also the young chap said she was posh and sophisticated, I thought she was as common as muck and put on the so called posh accent.
