What you are probably looking at is the Durability Symbol.
It looks like an open container / jar with a number (months) inside or beside the symbol.
This tells you how long the product stays fresh after opening.
If the product is likely to become unsafe or not fulfill it's intended purpose more than (24M) after manufacture the packaging must indicate this.
You mostly find this symbol on cosmetics if they don't have a use or best before date.
