Our BT Telephone had a fault and was off for 3 days. When it was repaired I found I could only get Orange Broadband connection on the main BT socket into the house. The extensions won`t allow me to connect to Broadband. Any ideas why this has happened and what I can do please?

sounds like the repair has altered the line characteristics

it sounds like a word with Orange is the first step ... they should be able to up the level

the other option requires you to disconnect the orange bell wire from each socket
but then if your phones stop working you'll need an insertion tool to re terminate the wire
Sounds like the BT bloke disconnected the extensions to prove the fault was on the main incomming line and not in your house so you will probably find that the cables are disconnected in the main phone point....
disco

surely mawby would have said ... extension sockets dead

Thank you for your thoughts on this problem, I will probably ring BT as that is when the trouble started, when the man came to fix the fault on the main line. I can use the `phones in the bedrooms, with the filters in , or not, but cannot connect to Broadband.
confirms it's the levels
if the broadband is orange - bt will charge you
