eBay asking for card details
I am registered on eBay however when I went to buy something tonight, a new page opened asking for my credit card details. It said
"Use this form to place your credit card on file for automatic monthly payment of your eBay seller fees. These are the fees eBay charges sellers for listing and selling items. The information is protected using the industry standard ssl."
I am a bit suspicious. Does this sound right? There is no padlock at the top of the page which I thought meant that it is a safe site?
Any/all help welcome.
Thanks.

"Attention buyer. To help keep eBay a safe place to buy and sell, eBay may ask you for additional verification when purchasing certain items. Please enter your credit card details on the next page. It only takes a few moments, and your card won't be charged."
Then the next page asked me to sign in again. Did that not happen when you tried it?

No, but I do have very good blockers.
I went as far as buying the thing without problem - doh!
I did google the first page you quoted and got a web forgery warning.
I suggest you email eBay -

Include the listing number, what happened and when.
