sky remote

ok i am very frustrated...my sky+ remote stopped working so i tried my sky remote from my other box and did the reset precedure from the sky website - the other remote works on the sky+ box except it doesnt have the record / pause etc buttons....so i went to use the normal remote on the normal sky box tonight (its in a diff room) and it is not responding the same way as the sky+ one doesnt !! they cant both be faulty all of a sudden - the sky helplne said i should buy a new one - but i cant understand why both now dont work....aarrgghhh - help!!!

Standard Sky digiboxes and Sky+ digiboxes operate using different Infra Red signals from each other - when a remote is set up to operate Sky+ it will no longer operate standard Sky (and vice versa).

Any type of Sky remote can be programmed to operate any type of digibox whether it be standard Sky, Sky+ or Sky+ HD. However when set to a particular type it will not operate another type until it is reprogrammed.

yes i read that and tried the resets but they wont work!

also my sky plus box remote is actually a sky HD remote - i cant see how to reset that to control normal sky plus?
