ford radio fault

when i turn my cd 6000 ford radio on it displays 1 hour then radio comes on ok...then switches itself off on its own...give it 5 mins then it will work again is it faulty or is the problem somewhere else?

We have the same trouble with ours in the works transit, nip it back to ford they just plug it in and give the system a reset and normally dont charge a bean.
