My daughter works for P&O on the liner Ventura and I like to see where the ship is sailing using the Tracker powered by Java. When I logged on yesterday I got a yellow screen with the message, " This applet is out of date. Please clear your cache".

Could anyone tell me how I solve this please? Thank you.

Hi rojash. Thank you for your advice. Sadly I did everything that you said and even restarted my laptop, to no avail. I'm still getting the same message and yellow screen.

If you have anymore advice I'd be grateful but don't worry if you haven't. Thank you for your time.

That was your browser cache that you've just cleared.... try clearing your JAVA cache

Click start and then control panel, if your control panel has a blue background then click on use classic view in top left corner so you get a white background. then double click the java icon.

On the java control panel that opens make sure you are on the general tab and then click on settings at the bottom, you should now see a button marked delete files, click that and then ok a few times to close everything and try your APP again.

Tried what you suggested chuckfickens, but no good. Still getting a yellow screen and message.

Is my laptop "chicked"?? Thanks though.
have a look at this page and see if the java test app works, if it does then it's probably not an issue with your laptop but more likely a problem with their app.

If the test app doesn't work there are instructions at the bottom on how to uninstall and reinstall JAVA. (actually even if the test does work try uninstalling and reinstalling JAVA, won't do any harm and may fix your problem)

HURRAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've done it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you chuck. I had to to uninstall all the Java updates and reinstall it from new. Took me an hour, which included dropping my bh off at the pub, but so grateful.

Thank you again and you rojash, much appreciated.
