I have an Archos MP3 recorder which has a 80 gig hard drive and I hear there is soon to be a 100 gig available. I have about 30 gig of MP3's on my Archos which leaves a fair amount of space for important back up files, a couple of DVD films and a few photos. You can easily fill it up if your not carefull.
There are far better MP3 player/recorders on the market than iPod (IMHO), its just that iPod spend a lot more money marketing them. Its a case of fashion over function.
