Do you know the code for car radio in Renault Scenic?

Hi, Recently replaced battery in my Renault Scenic ( Fidji 1.6 16v ) thereby reseting all the electronics. Have also blanked the radio memory. To complicate matters, when I bought the car 2nd hand it had no handbook. So i have no code to reset/ activate the radio. I've heard that the code is printed on the side of the radio, so my questions are: a: does anyone know how i'd get the code, and, b; if I need to, how do I get the radio out of the dash without wrecking it? Visit a Renault dealer. The workshop guys will be able to look up the code and show you how to enter it. They should do this for free. Take notes for the future. They might be picky, so take along your ''proof of ownership'' documents, too.

Radio codes are put there to discourage thieves from stealing your radio. There wouldn't be much point in this if the code was written on the side! Every radio has a different number - it's like the PIN code on your credit card.
