fitting external door trim

hi,my wifes trim on the outside of her drivers door has fallen off.her car is a renault clio 1.4 16v on a 2003 plate.we still have the trim but are struggling to re fit it.we were wondering if the clips to hold the trim to the door have sheared off,any ideas would be appreciated.garry

Hi Gary, look at the back side of the trim, does it show signs of Bonding? ( black tacky stuff) a lot of these trims on the outer side fit in place by bonding if your is of that type you can get the stuff from Hal fords or any Auto spares shop,it can be used using a sealant gun, if there are signs of Plastic clips, these can be bought from your local Dealer or better still Scrap yard, they are not that dear to bye. �2 or so.
