My work has just imformed me that I am no longer allowed to wear trousers (including all female employees). So we are being forced to wear only skirts EVERYDAY regardless of the weather....
If they could justifiably show that wearing skirts could be hazardous, such as being near moving machinery or you have the danger of chemicals splashing your legs, then probably yes. If it is just their whim, then I can't say for sure.
The easy way to put them off is to tell them they will have to supply a company uniform or buy you trousers, as you have no trousers only skirts.
We are provided a uniform by the company, and our trousers have been taken away so that we wear only skirts...
Obviously the men wear trousers...
My boss is actualy a woman which makes it worse...
I work at a desk so I can't give the excuse of machinery or chemicals...
I just don't think its very fair that even when it's cold we are forced to wear skirts also it must be considered.
The only way to let them allow us to wear skirts is if I show them that it's illegal for them to do so...
