have a 10 mtr metal boat, having trouble with hull ,could any body tell me if 12 volts is supposed to run throgh hull back to battery,s earth ,hulls pitting and anodes not lasting very long .the anodes are salt water one,s. thank,s Ronnie

Never ever use the hull as a return path for your 12 volts. However much the hassle, install a two-wire system. Scroll down to ''DC system with no AC on board'' here
Correct,run a 2 wire system, make sure every thing electrical is COMPLETELY isolated from the hull, then connect the positive to the hull. Weird,yes but works.

hi ,thanks for your anser.not very sure about two wire system.could you be abit more specific,cheer,s regards ronnie.
Wire things up according to the diagrams on my previous link. Instead of using the hull as a return path back to the battery, use a separate wire.
