Two of the rings on my gas cooker are making popping sounds when lit ( that's the best way I can describe them,).
Can anyone tell me what is causing this and is there anything I can do to stop it. I have cleaned the rings but not made any difference.i

Happens to me when westerly winds hit property - could be same for you?

Thanks tamborine but don't think that's what is happening with mine - does it whatever the weather hail rain or shine. It almost seems as if there is a blockage in the ring..
Make sure it's both cleaned and dried thoroughly and reassembled correctly - I find that even a trival misalignment can cause your symptoms.

Thanks dzug for your reply. Will have another go at thoroughly cleaning them and checking they are aligned correctly. It is only the two back rings with the problem.
Hva eyou spilt any water on there? I had this, water got under the burner tops and gas was bubbling through the water before coming out of the burner tops and made a popping sound.
