mondeo 2.0 duratec air flow/alternator???

right firstly does anyone know where the air flow metre is on a mondeo duratec 2.0 engine petrol as i cant find it its normally on the air intake pipe but mines just has the intake pipe with nothing on it..is it supposed to be like that is it located in a different place on these engines ???..secondly how do i remove the alternator on this engine do i need to loosen the belt first before starting to undo the pins on the alternator ...how do i loosen it is it one of the pulleys etc any pictures or diagrams or links also would be great thanks?????????????
