I thought I would ask you brainy lot,
I was able to find this summary information very easily for the european election, but try as I might, I cannot find an authoratitive source for the local council elections.
Anyone able to help or point me in the right direction?

Thanks infundibulum. I am probably not looking properly... what I wanted was a simple averaged national turnout for the last local elections - was it 40%, 35% etc. And thats the figure I am finding elusive. I have had some people claim the nationa average turnout was as low as 27%!

Infundibulum, Thanks again for your continuing help with this. It does seem strange there is no national figure easily available, or at least, it does to me. Based upon your efforts, it would certainly appear that the likelly average turnout was higher than the 27% or so I have had quoted to me, but in order to get a more accurate estimation it looks like I will have to do it the longhand way, by looking for the turnout of each individual constituency.
Thanks again for the time you have spent on this.
