My boyfriend uses sites for torrents/downloads and I found on his search history that he had been searching for porn. I asked him if he had been, but he denied it and said that these sites enter those sorts of things into your search engine automatically. I don't believe him, but he thinks that because I'm niaive about how these sites work that he can pull the wool over my eyes. I also saw the name of one of the files downloading and it was clearly a porn film, but he says he never requested it and that this often happens that files you request turn out to be porn. I would have thought they were given genuine names though, and that you only realise they are porn films once you start watching them, and not when they are downloading with a name clearly showing it is porn. Can anyone help me out on this, pls?

I think he is trying to fool you.
You know what they say about fools.
There is one porn every minute

Good one, lol! Yes, I didn't believe a word of it (actually he is my ex now because I don't believe half of what he says!)
Your husband may well be telling the truth, but my personal opinion is I doubt it.

I do a fair bit of downloading, and every once in a while I download a normal movie, only to find out after the download that it is porn, so it is definately possible this can happen.

on the other hand, if hubby is downloading a film with an obvious porn name, then he is doing it deliberately. Most porn movies on torrent sites are listed with XXX in the title, so it would not be an accident to download a titles such as XXX Big Jugs.

Thx aps1, yes it was clear from the film title downloading it was a porn, plus also I found "XXX (teen, etc)" in his searches, but he said they just appear automatically when you keep going to various sites and getting various downloads .. I think that's a load of BS, I reckon he typed those searches in himself, but would be interested to hear if anyone has actually had experience of this happening automatically because he was so convincing in his argument. I'm horrified I was taken in by this as I now know I've been taken in by some other stuff even worse/more serious than being lied to about downloading porn!
