Buying Xbox 360 help

Im buying my other half an Xbox360,could anyone advise me which one to get(except the most expensive one).
he`s not interested in going online with it at all.He has a xbox at the moment and loads of games,would he be able to play these on a 360.
Would the cheapest one arcade version be ok,or is it worth buying the 60gb one,are there any other advantages from the 60gb apart from going online.
I have no idea,help would be appreciated,also if anyone knows of any good offers.

If your sure he will never go online then the cheapest arcade version will do just fine. I have a xbox 360 which i have had for several years and i have managed very well with a 20Gb hard drive and have been online. Only now with full High Def movies being available to down load would I consider a bigger HD.

Just a word of warning though, not all original xbox games are compatible with xbox 360.

oh, and often you can get a free 48 hours online with a new xbox or with some games. Online can be very very addictive.

Thanks for your reply.I`ll get the arcade version,as he`s sure he won`t go online.
He`s keeping his old xbox so I suppose he can use that for the games he can play on the 360.
Ive had a quick price around on net and Tesco direct are cheapest up to now.

Ive ordered the arcade one from tesco direct,seemed the cheapest at �128,and 2 games.The games arrived today,the console should be here by thurs/fri.
He`s sure he won`t go online,he`s not interested he never goes online on puter anyway.
Thanx vibrasphere for the games tips,one of the games we got was call of duty 4.He likes war games,particularly Vietnam ones,for some reason!
He`s like a big kid,got the games but can`t wait for console to arrive (poor thing).I`ll let him know about games you mentioned,
