Family Tree software

I have my family history on a family tree maker programme which I transferred from Genes re united on a gedcom file. I now want to run another family tree software alongside the other one so that I can print out different reports. Can I just import from the same gedcom file or will it take it off the one I have already running?

It's free and rather easy in use and I guess it would be perfect for you to use as a different version of the same family tree.
