Auto email contact addresses.

How do I get rid of unwanted contact email addresses? I've deleted and removed a number of contact addresses but as soon as I start to enter the first letter in the To: window, all the addresses starting with that letter come up automatically , which is OK but it includes all those deleted ones as well.

oh, sorry, you did ask a question right at the beginning, missed that :)

You have failed to tell us what you are using for email though (as does everyone who asks email based questions on here!)

Without that information it's really hard to answer, but I'll assume your using webmail of some sort, if so it's nothing to do with your address book, it's the forms auto complete in your browser.

if it is then try typing the first letter and when the list comes up press the down arrow until the one you don't want is highlighted and then press delete.

The other option is to clear all the auto complete records, which would get rid off all suggestions.

I'm not sure what you mean by Web-based email ? I thought they all were . Maybe you could explain.
However I get the trouble when using Windows E-Mail on Vista and I have deleted the unwanted e-mail addresses in all the manners you suggested, without success. As a point of interest I use 3 other emails using Orange and Yahoo and with these I don't get the same problem.
