How can you tell if a phone is tapped. Phoned a friend and the phone bleeped twice with two tone notes.

lol mine does that if the battery is running low. Must be very serious if it is.......requires Home Office approval doesn't it?

Yep because when they tap phones they always make them beep every now and then, no criminal would ever be suspicious of that.

To actually answer your question, you don't know if your phone is tapped, it would be kinda pointless doing it if you could find out or tell!

As Chuck says, phones bleeping or other funny noises, that are supposed to indicate wire tapping, are old wives tales.
