Windows Vista -low disk space

I run windows vista with automatic back up systems I have suddenly started getting annoying messages saying "Low Disc Space you are running out of space on Recovery D drive" but then says click here to tidy up files,when I do it only gives the option of clearing the recycle bin and as that is empty I cannot make any progress ,does anyone know how to clear any unwanted files on the back up system?I too have had a notice saying my Office system is not genuine and that I should buy one for £99 see someone elses question recently.Any help is welcomeRyburn.

Your recovery drive is a small partition to hold an image of your Windows disk in case you want to restore to factory settings.

It is NOT really the place to store back up files (it is usually a small partition with little free space).

Turn OFF the back up (there is little point backing up to the same hard drive if it ever crashes).

Then buy an external hard drive and start doing to backup to THAT drive.

Where did you get your MS Office from?

Was it on the PC when you bought it, did you buy an official copy, or did a "friend" install it for you.

If it IS a dodgy copy, and you still need MS Office, then buy MS Office Home and Student for about £60 (look on Amazon).

If you dont actually need MS Office then download OpenOffice which is an excellent free alternative.
