how can you tell one piece of legitimate software from another?
I recently posted this question on CNET forums "Is this a good piece of software or not? I have been using it for over a year and thought it was helping my pc but after recommending it to a friend and reading a few reviews I'm not so sure! If I run it and "fix" what it finds then it says that there are no threats remaining but if I run it immediately after it seems to find loads of threats again. Is it really not doing anything for my pc at all?"
I'm now being told it's rogue spyware and have been directed to a site called "The complete rogue antispyware directory" which says I should use VIPRE antivirus to remove netcom 3. Now I don't know whether this is legitimate or not, how can I find out?
However I'm not recommending the fix offered by that website. (It might be OK; I simply don't know). The free version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (which is highly respected) should do the job for you. Use the blue download button here:
