Heater element blown

Thermostat gone faulty

Problem with wiring

If it's the element it's sometimes visable that it's burnt out, if not need to check it for continuity with a meter.

Thermostat, same thing, check it for continuity with a meter.

Wiring you would need to follow the wires and look for a problem, again testing with a meter

If you are not sure or happy doing any of this call somebody in.
Is it a condenser dryer by any chance?
Is there a button on the front marked 'Cool', that has been pushed in?
Some dryers have a cut-out button on the back which operates if the dryer over-heats.
This button could want pushing back in???
