For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.If this occurs more often just after starting then it's definitely the alternator which is working hard to replace the 150 Amps or so momentarily drawn when turning over the engine. There will usually be a bolt in a slot which you slacken slightly, it also helps to slacken the alternator pivot bolt. Lever the alternator in the direction of tightening with a bit of wood against a strong part of the engine block then tighten the slot bolt. Don't overtighten the belt (it damages the alternator and sometimes water pump bearings), just make it a bit tighter than before then give it a test. Retighten all the bolts if OK. Do check in the manual if you have one.
