My neighbour's garden has sprung a spring
Although our gardens have always suffered in heavy rain as we are on a bit of a slope, my neighbour has just discovered a fresh water spring under his lawn - or rather it is no longer 'under' as it's become quite a water feature. As I am downhill to him, I am collecting water on what was a patio - now its more like a pontoon.
He has stuck three lengths of garden hose straight into the lawn and some of the water is now directed into a drain (what a waste of beautiful spring water). However, some is still running under the adjoining dry stone wall into my garden. We have now lifted a man-hole cover (in my garden) and some of the water is running directly into it. The pontoon area should eventually dry up now its not being constantly fed with run-off spring water.
What I am really asking is - does anyone have any suggestions or solutions to this novel problem?
