Selling shares in American company.
2 Answers
I've got a share certificate for an American based company which does not trade on the british stock market. I've been if I wish to sell the shares I need to go through a company called BNY Mellon. However having talked to a couple of other people having already tried to deal with this company and sell shares it is quite difficult to do so and they both ended up just keeping the shares so far instead of selling them.
Is there any other way I can sell the shares, for example through a broker? Any advice greatly appreciated.

You may find another broker (sorry can't recommend any) easier to deal with than BNY Mellon. Bear in mind that not all UK brokers will deal in US shares
They are not regulation S shares by any chance are they? I doubt it (on the face of it BNY Mellon look reputable) - but if they are they are unlikely to be saleable.
